What makes a West Meadow Shepherd Puppy Different?

Bringing home a puppy is a big decision, and we believe you deserve to know exactly how your future companion is raised. At West Meadow Shepherds, every puppy’s first eight weeks are filled with love, intention, and structure.

We’re not just breeders. We’re teachers, caretakers, and passionate advocates for doing things right from the very beginning.

🌱Our Puppy Program: A Strong Start from Day One

From the moment our puppies are born, they’re surrounded by gentle hands, familiar sounds, and the rhythm of real family life. Our puppies are raised in our home, not in kennels, with exposure to:

Children and seniors Dogs of different ages Sounds like vacuums, music, and conversations Different surfaces, toys, and environments Car rides, crate introduction, and grooming tools

We follow a thoughtful week-by-week curriculum that includes early neurological stimulation, sensory and sound exposure, and age-appropriate challenges that build confidence.

🧬 Health and Genetics: No Shortcuts

All of our breeding dogs are:

Health tested through Embark for over 210 genetic conditions Veterinarian-cleared and temperament-evaluated Chosen for their stable, confident, and gentle nature

Every puppy is:

Vaccinated and dewormed, Tattooed and health-certified by a vet

We also provide lifetime breeder support and require that any dog needing rehoming is returned to us, no questions asked.

🐕 Matched with Care

We don’t sell based on color or who was first to message. Each puppy undergoes temperament testing and is matched to the home that best fits their energy level, confidence, drive, and needs.

We believe the right dog in the right home changes everything.

🍼 Nutrition and Raising

All puppies are raised on a raw-fed, kibble supplemented diet, carefully balanced and introduced through mash, then solid pieces. We believe in starting strong, inside and out.

We include feeding instructions and guidance in every puppy pack, and we’re always here if you need help after pickup.

🏡 Ready for Real Life

Our puppies leave with:

Their own scent blanket A puppy pack with food, toys, health records, and support. A confident head start in life and a family cheering them on.
